Last weekend saw the centrepiece event of the Royal Air Force’s 100th birthday celebrations take place. The RAF tour arrived in London on Friday and highlights included a display of a range of historic and current British aircraft. The collection will stay in London until today (Monday 9th July) before travelling around to other parts of the UK including cities such as Birmingham and Cardiff.
The celebrations continue in London tomorrow (Tuesday 10th July) with the RAF100 parade and flypast in which more than a thousand servicemen and women will participate. Her Majesty The Queen will be accompanied by The Prince of Wales during the event, which is due take place on the Mall from 11:25am onwards. Up to 100 Aircraft will feature in the flypast, with a wide selection available in readymade or kit form from a number of our brands. These include:

Developed from the original passenger variant, over 900 C-47s were built for numerous countries as they were designed as a military transport aircraft.
