British Railway Announcements | Winter 2020

Last modified date

On Tuesday 3rd November we unveiled our Winter 2020 British Railway Announcements – featuring a number of new OO and N scale models across our Bachmann Branchline, Graham Farish, Scenecraft and EFE Rail ranges. The announcements were shared with Bachmann Collectors Club Members and Bachmann Retailers earlier this morning via a video presentation, and this video can now be viewed on YouTube.

The first ever British Railway Announcements were unveiled in February 2020, a month after we had outlined plans to announce new products on a quarterly basis and only when those items are within three months of becoming available. This fourth and final set of announcements for 2020 is the biggest yet and marks a successful first year for this new approach which has been welcomed by customers and consumers alike.

Class 31/6 Refurbished 31602 Network Rail Yellow (371-137SF)

Graham Farish has always been at the forefront of British N scale and was the first manufacturer to introduced British consumers to models with factory-fitted DCC Sound Decoders (now known as SOUND FITTED). The selection of SOUND FITTED models from Graham Farish expands further this Winter with the unveiling of six new Class 31 locomotives with SOUND FITTED.

LB&SCR H1 Atlantic 2038 ‘Portland Bill’ SR Malachite Green (31-911SF)

There are SOUND FITTED developments in OO scale from Bachmann Branchline too, with this feature being added to the 94XX Pannier Tanks and Class 117 DMUs. All-new versions of the H1 and H2 Atlantics and Class 57 locomotives are also announced – each with a SOUND FITTED option available.

Wigmore Watermill (44-0131) and Watermill Race & Gate (44-0142)

The Scenecraft range of highly detailed, hand painted buildings, structures and accessories welcomes a new collection of OO scale models – Lucston and Wigmore – offering quintessential structures suitable for any setting. There are new additions in N scale too, including the reappearance of models depicting iconic structures such as the Coaling Tower and Gasometer.

Class 58 58021 ‘Hither Green Depot’ Mainline Blue (E84007)

EFE Rail is already becoming an established name on the shelves of Bachmann retailers and there are new additions in both OO and N scale this Winter, with models of two different wagons – the Shark Brake Van and JIA Bogie Hopper – being made available in ready-to-run format in N scale for the first time.

Full details of these Winter announcements are featured in the British Railway Announcements catalogue which is available exclusively with the Bachmann Times – the official magazine of the Bachmann Collectors Club – and these products are set to be released during the next three months and can be ordered from your local Bachmann stockist now.
