Bachmann Collectors Club launch new Class 90 at Model Rail Scotland

Last modified date

The Bachmann Collectors Club unveiled its latest Limited Edition model at Model Rail Scotland today and this new model is available to purchase now – at the event or online. Produced in partnership with Locomotion Models, the official model shop of the National Railway Museum, the Bachmann Branchline OO scale Class 90 Electric Locomotive appears in DB Cargo Red livery for the first time and is finished as No. 90028 ‘Sir William McAlpine’. The SOUND FITTED model – which is fitted with a ESU Loksound V5 DCC Sound Decoder that produces realistic sounds on both analogue and DCC and operates the motorised pantograph on DCC – is available exclusively to members of the Bachmann Collectors Club, whilst standard models can be purchased from Locomotion Models.

Incorporating all of the features of the ground-breaking Branchline Class 90, which combines a highly accurate and detailed body shell with an authentic chassis and bogies – each featuring a wealth of separately fitted detail – the Branchline Class 90 captures the distinctive shape and character of the real locomotives to a tee. Add to this the multiple lighting functions and their realistic operations, such as the Day or Night mode for the directional lighting, and it’s easy to see why this model is the complete package. What’s more, when used on DCC the Pantograph, which itself is a fine reproduction featuring metal components, can be operated remotely via the built-in servo motor, meaning you can raise and lower this characteristic feature at any time, without having to intervene by hand. The SOUND FITTED model also offers authentic sound effects and is preconfigured for DCC operation of the motorised pantograph.
