Job Opportunity at Bachmann – Consumer Services Officer
We are currently expanding our dedicated team and are looking to recruit a Consumer Services Officer who will be responsible for ensuring a consistent level of high-quality customer support is given to all Bachmann consumers. The role will report into the Rail Brand Manager and provide quality support for our Rail and Non-Rail brands.
Responsibilities will include:
- Replying to consumer general queries, including telephone, email, and post
- Developing and maintaining a high level of personal knowledge about our products and our business so that you are fully equipped to answer any product enquiries
- Dealing with complaints, investigating, and solving consumers’ problems
- Maintaining electronic and written databases of letters received, information given, and complaints made to ensure accuracy of information, consistency and efficiency when dealing with consumers
- Ensuring all information taken from calls is accurately logged on the system
- Reviewing call log to follow patterns in consumer feedback
- Providing administrative support to Marketing Department as required
- Be a first point of contact for consumers via all social media channels
- Occasional weekend work might be required to help support with exhibitions
Requirements:
- A keen interest in traditional model and hobbies, be it plastic kits or Railway modelling would be highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
- Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills.
- Must have at least two years office-based customer/consumer service experience
- PC literate – particularly in MS office suite
- Quick and accurate keyboard skills, with good administrative skills
- Drive, competence, flexibility, and a willingness to learn
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask
- Previous training or a qualification in customer services would be beneficial to this role
This is a full-time position with a competitive salary offered (dependant on experience) plus benefits. The role is based Monday to Friday at our head office in Barwell, Leicestershire therefore the ideal candidates should be within a commutable distance of our European HQ.
