Model World LIVE is back for its second year at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham on the weekend of April 26th – 27th 2025 and Bachmann Europe together with its Model Collect Create (MCC) store and Pocketbond are sponsoring the new National Modelling Exhibition.

The event takes place in Hall 2 at the NEC this year and brings together model railways, scale modelling, radio control and slot cars in one giant 150+ stand event. Building on the success of the first event in April 2024 – which saw Pete Waterman and the Railnuts achieve a brand-new Guinness World Record for the Largest Portable Model Railway – the organisers have been searching the modelling scene to create an outstanding line up for the 2025 show.
Highlights include the second public appearance – and the first in England – for Mick Worrell’s stunning 70ft x 40ft model of Glasgow Eastfield Depot and Glasgow Queen Street in O scale as well as the latest and revised version of Pete Waterman’s Watford Junction in OO scale which will measure 72ft x 14ft for the 2025 show. These two headline layouts will be joined by an array of hand-picked model railways featured in Hornby Magazine as well as a stunning line up of scale modelling displays by talented modellers from around the country.
The show will also feature interactive stands with MCC bringing its PineCar race track for visitors young, and not so young, to try their hand at building the fastest wooden racecar while there will also be opportunities to try your hand with Woodland Scenics products. Added to this visitors can take the controls of model railways on the Key Model World stand, drive radio controlled trucks in a special demonstration area hosted by the Tamiya Trucking group, race slot cars on a replica of the Goodwood circuit and much more.
