Product Highlight: OO9 Scale Ffestiniog Railway Buildings
The Ffestiniog Railway are holding their Bygones Weekend later this week, and this event is sure to attract plenty of railway enthusiasts who are looking forward to seeing the sights along the picturesque narrow gauge railway. However, for railway modellers who’d like to see some of the buildings at a much smaller scale, look no further than the Scenecraft range of OO9 scale buildings!
Our Ffestiniog Railway resin buildings from Scenecraft are designed for use on layouts that depict narrow gauge railways using products from our Bachmann Narrow Gauge OO9 range, however as they are scaled to 1:76, they can also be used with Bachmann Branchline, EFE Rail and Scenecraft products on OO scale layouts or dioramas and alongside 1:76 scale vehicles from brands such as EFE Road. All of our Scenecraft models are highly detailed and hand painted to provide miniature masterpieces that are ready to place on any layout or diorama.
Tan-Y-Bwlch Station House
Our first building is the Tan-Y-Bwlch Station House, which depicts the station’s original wooden-built station building.
This model is available in two different colour schemes, both with cream walls. The first has brown doors and highlights, representing the station as it appears today. The second model has green doors and highlights.

Wooden Footbridge
Our next model is the Wooden Footbridge, which is inspired by the bridge that crosses the tracks at Tan-Y-Bwlch Station.
This model is available in two versions. The first has the bridge with a natural wood finish, whilst the second is painted in green.
Station Cottages
Our final Tan-Y-Bwlch station model is the Station Cottages; the real structure has previously been used as a waiting room and as the station master’s house before their present occupation as holiday cottages.
This model depicts the stone built building and is available in two colour schemes. The first is decorated with brown doors and highlights, whilst the second has those features decorated in green.
Platform Waiting Room
Moving along the line to Minffordd, our next building is the Platform Waiting Room, which is based on the quaint corrugated building at Minffordd station.
There are two versions of this model available with both featuring cream walls. One is finished with green doors and highlights, whilst the other is finished with Chocolate doors and highlights as currently worn by the real building.

Blacksmith’s and Wagon Workshop
Travelling further along the line to Boston Lodge, our next model depicts the stone-built Blacksmith’s and Wagon Workshop building.
As with the other models, this is available in two different colour schemes, with the first having red doors and highlights whilst the second depicts the building with those features in green.
Boston Lodge Engine Shed
Our next building from Boston Lodge is the two-road stone-built Engine Shed, which serves to protect the Ffestiniog Railway’s locomotives from the elements when not in use.
There are again two different colour schemes available for this model, with the first depicting red doors and highlights and the second featuring green.
Harbour Station Goods Shed
Our final model takes us to the Ffestiniog Railway’s passenger terminus, depicting the Goods Shed at Porthmadog Harbour Station. This building currently houses a café and bar but is depicted here in its original configuration in which it was used to store and transfer goods between trains.
Like the other models on this page and our other previously available Porthmadog Harbour Station buildings*, this model is available with either green doors and highlights or with the same features in red. *Whilst the Harbour Station buildings no longer feature in the Scenecraft range, these models may still be available from Bachmann stockists, including the Ffestiniog Railway shop.
