Bachmann Collectors Club 2015 Members Day

Last modified date

On Saturday 5th September 2015, 150 Bachmann Collectors Club members joined the Bachmann team at the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway for our 2015 Members Day. Attendees enjoyed behind the scenes tours of both the steam and diesel locomotive works at Toddington giving everyone an insight into the work required to provide locomotives for a heritage railway. We also visited the carriage and wagon works at Winchcombe for an exclusive look at the work taking place there, including a tour of the recently opened paint shop and the dedicated joinery and upholstery workshops.

Two new Bachmann Branchline OO scale models were announced on the day in the form of the Class 117 and 121 DMUs. Fittingly, the railway’s Class 117 DMU was in action carrying members along the new northern extension which terminated at Laverton, but would soon reach Broadway where a new station was being constructed. The Toddington Narrow Gauge Railway also provided train rides and tours of their facilities which were of great interest to many members who were looking forward to the release of the forthcoming Bachmann Narrow Gauge models.
