NEW CLUB MEMBERSHIP OPTIONS AND EXCLUSIVE MODELS AVAILABLE NOW
At the start of July the Bachmann Collectors Club revealed three new membership options with prices starting from only £29.99 a year. Standard Membership includes a year’s subscription to the Bachmann Times magazine, full of news, modelling and historic articles and home to the quarterly British Railway Announcements catalogue, plus a discount of at least 10% on the full range of Club-exclusive models. Club members get a 2 year warranty on their Bachmann models along with invites to the annual free Members Day out, and Practically Perfect Sales where practically new Bachmann models are sold to members at bargain prices. Members also receive a personalised membership card, pin badge, annual Club calendar and Bachmann’s Combined Volume Catalogue and have access to Club-exclusive competitions and show offers, all for just £29.99.
The new Premium Membership offers the same great benefits of standard membership but with an annual Club wagon, choose between N, OO9 or OO scale. This year the N and OO wagons are BR Conflats with a Grey and Blue British Rail container, meanwhile the OO9 option is a RNAD Flat wagon with planked ends. Premium Membership costs just £39.99.
Deluxe Membership replaces the previous dual scale membership and comes with a saving of more than £10 at the new price of £49.99. For this members can enjoy all the benefits of standard membership along with two club wagons, choose from N and OO scale wagons or OO and OO9 – perfect for those with an interest in two scales or gauges.
Every member has the chance to attend the annual Bachmann Collectors Club Members Day and for 2025 this takes place at the Bo’ness and Kinneil Railway on Saturday 20th September. Tickets are free but must be booked in advance and a limited number of tickets remain available. The day includes train rides, behind the scenes tours, a Practically Perfect Sale and lunch is even included too.
New Club-exclusive models have been announced as part of Bachmann’s Autumn 2025 British Railway Announcements with the N Scale Mk1 BG High Security Brake Gangwayed vehicle appearing in EWS livery. The real vehicle was used on the Cruise Saver Express from 2010 and travelled across the UK. The Club model is priced at £42.95 but members pay just £37.95 or can buy a pack of 4 for £140, giving a saving of more than £30 off the RRP.
There is new rolling stock for OO Scale too with the REA Translator Vehicle based on the Branchline VDA Van. Translator Vehicles were used to move London Underground trains on the national network, usually on delivery or transfers to and from test sites and were fitted with appropriate drawgear at one end to couple to the tube train, with conventional gear at the other end to couple to the train loco. The new Club model is fitted with standard tension lock couplings at each end enabling it to couple to other OO scale models. Wearing the red, white and blue synonymous with London Underground, the REA Translator Vehicle is priced at £35.95 or £31.95 for members. As the real vans operated in pairs, two can be purchased for the discounted price of just £60.00.
