In this post we take a look at how Shaper Sheet® from Woodland Scenics can help with a wide range of modelling projects. A unique patented terrain building material, Shaper Sheet enables most types of landscape to be made quickly, easily and very light in weight. The strong, pliable sheet holds its form without understructure and can be shaped and reshaped to create any level of detail. The material mechanically bonds with Shaper Sheet Plaster (WC1180) or Plaster Cloth (WC1191-WC1193) to create a hard shell. Ideal for layouts, dioramas, displays and arts and crafts.

Shaper Sheet Steps – STEP 1 CUT, STEP 2 FORM & STEP 3 FINISH

To use Shaper Sheet® follow this easy step by step process –

  1. Cut the Shaper Sheet® slightly larger than the area to be modelled to allow for the crumpling when reshaping the sheet.
  2. Create your desired landscape by shaping and crumpling the sheet. You can cut off any spare material and save for later.
  3. Strengthen the Shaper Sheet® landscape by covering it with Shaper Sheet Plaster or Plaster Cloth.

Now the landscape is ready to apply a base colour with Woodland Scenics Earth Colours Liquid Pigment and then you can add your desired Woodland Scenics landscape materials. Shaper Sheet® is incredibly versatile and can also be used for a variety of different craft projects.
