Bachmann on the Road – The GCR Model Event
The Bachmann team are excited to be attending this years ‘Great Central Railway Model Event’ which takes place on the 15th – 17th of June.
The Model Event is now an annual feature of the exhibition calendar and a favourite with visitors both local and from further afield. With exhibits and attractions spread across all of the Railway’s stations, visitors can buy an all inclusive ticket to travel on the only double track mainline heritage railway in the country and stop off at each station to see the exhibition. More than 70 layouts will be on display alongside 50 of the hobbies leading traders and manufacturers including both the Bachmann Roadshow and Bachmann Collectors Club who will be located in the main event area at Quorn.

Whilst attending this year’s event, you are likely to see BR Standard Class 9F No. 92214 ‘Leicester City’ in BR Lined Green, Late Crest livery. This steam locomotive is the subject of our latest OO scale Bachmann Collectors Club limited edition model which is available exclusively to Club members (32-851K). Also based on the line is the 5-plank wagon in Mountsorrel Granite Company (MGC) livery which we have also created in miniature as a limited edition Collectors Club model in N scale (377-050K). Three wagons have been restored and decorated in authentic MGC livery on the Great Central Railway and can often be seen featuring in demonstration goods trains.
