Product Highlight: OO Scale BR Mark 1 Suburban Coaches

The British Railways Mark 1 57-foot long Suburban Coaches have returned to the Bachmann Branchline range, with OO scale models available from retailers now.

These coaches have been released in three different liveries, with three coaches available for each livery. There are ventilators along the roof of each coach, while the ends of each coach feature pipes and separately fitted handrails. 

Underneath the solebar, the coaches have battery boxes and there is brake equipment surrounding the trusses that run along the middle of the coach. The bodies are mounted on BR1 bogies with metal wheels.

The livery details have been expertly applied to the sides and ends of the coaches, including running numbers on the body and no smoking signs on the windows. The Era 5 maroon coaches feature dual yellow stripes along the side, whereas the Era 6 blue coaches feature overhead electrical wiring warning signs on the ends.

 

 

BR Mark 1 57ft Suburban Coaches – BR Crimson

Our first set of BR Mark 1 57ft Suburban Coaches are decorated in BR’s crimson livery from Era 4. These coaches all have running numbers from the Midland Region of British Railways.
