Bachmann Collectors Club 2014 Members Day

Last modified date

Saturday August 30th 2014 saw 150 Bachmann Collectors Club members visit the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway for the 2014 Members Day. Despite a grey start to the day, the sun quickly broke through providing the perfect backdrop to an event that was thoroughly enjoyed by all. We would like to extend our thanks to the members who attended.

Prior to boarding the first train of the day, Dennis Lovett announced a new OO scale model of the LNWR Webb Coal Tank as our train pulled into the station, hauled fittingly by the preserved locomotive No. 1054.

With the help of the Bahamas Locomotive Society (BLS) and the Vintage Carriages Trust (VCT), the railway and its volunteers offered an extensive program for our members including guided tours of various museums housed along the line together with exclusive access to the locomotive works at Haworth, and the carriage and wagon works at Oxenhope, both of which are not open to the general public.
