Bachmann Europe and MCC sponsor Model World LIVE

Bachmann and MCC are sponsoring Model World LIVE on April 27/28 at the NEC in Birmingham with stands for Bachmann Europe, Pocketbond and a Make and Take interactive stand for visitors.

Bachmann and MCC are bringing hands on modelling to Model World LIVE on April 27/28 2024 with three spectacular stands including a Make and Take operated by Bachmann Europe’s MCC (Model Collect Create) Hobby Centre.

The MCC stand will offer hands on modelling activities for visitors to Model World LIVE including a build, paint and race PineCar racetrack with prizes for best decorated and fastest cars, a Woodland Scenics Make and Take to learn new skills in scenic modelling plus demonstrations by the MCC team.

Bachmann Europe’s Managing Director David Haarhaus said: “Consumer Shows are a vital shop window for any Hobby. A large, fresh, well organised show at the NEC will no doubt attract a new audience, or perhaps those who have been absent from their hobby since childhood. We are delighted that the Model World LIVE event will become an annual date on the Bachmann calendar, and that it has the support of our fantastic retailers.

Shows such as Model World LIVE are commercially viable because of the stand rent paid by retailers from all over the nation. Without retailers, it is unlikely there would be any shows, certainly not of the scale of this exciting new venture. Without retailers paying for advertising there would be no magazines. Supporting our local retailers is vital for the long term health of our hobby and doing so is central to Bachmann’s philosophy, so that we can all continue to enjoy events like this.

In addition, the Bachmann Europe brand will be showing its latest railway and scale modelling products on dedicated stands for Bachmann railways and its scale modelling brands through Pocketbond. The railway stand will feature the latest products from the Bachmann Branchline, Graham Farish and Bachmann Narrow Gauge ranges alongside the Bachmann Collectors Club. The railway stand will also host the Kinesis Theatre where visitors can watch regular demonstrations of the new digital control products coming from Bachmann in 2024.

The Pocketbond stand will feature the latest kits from its 14 product ranges, including Academy Hobby Model Kits, AFV Club, Hong Kong Models, Emhar, Roden, Takom, Trumpeter, Adventures in Plastic, Suyata and more

Key Publishing Publisher, Modelling Mike Wild added: “We are proud to have Bachmann Europe and MCC as sponsors for Model World LIVE. Together the trio of stands will be bringing something for everyone, whether you are joining us for railways, scale modelling or looking to learn new modelling skills. We are looking forward to seeing what visitors build on the Make and Take stand.

Model World LIVE takes place on April 27/28 2024 at the NEC in Birmingham and joins railway and scale modelling together in one show. The event will feature more than 35 working model railways, more than 35 scale modelling displays – extending to more than 400ft and featuring the best in aviation, military, maritime and sci-fi modelling – plus more than 60 trade stands, demonstrations and special features which will be revealed during February and March.
