Product Highlight: 1:76 Scale Cravens RT Ensignbus Set
The EFE Road range welcomed several new models of the Cravens RT bus towards the end of 2023, and these proved to be extremely popular. Continuing on from this success is a new twin pack (E99943) which contains models of the two remaining Craven RTs that survive today as part of the Ensignbus fleet.
These models are produced in 1:76 scale using the same new tooling as the releases from a few months ago, which feature the Cravens RT’s distinctive 5-bay window design as part of a single piece body with handrails on a new a chassis. The detailed interior features 30 seats on the upper deck and 26 seats on the lower deck.
These models are contained in a gift presentation box that is sure to catch the eye of model bus collectors, whilst the models themselves are also suitable for use by any railway modeller who wishes to feature an Ensignbus Cravens RT on their OO scale layout.
The first bus in this set is RT1431, which has a registration number of JXC194 and is decorated in red and cream livery with cream upper deck window surrounds. This bus is assigned to route X81, with destinations for Greenhithe Station, Lakeside, South Ockendon, North Ockendon, Great Warley, Warley, Brentwood and Greys. The bus does not feature adverts on the sides or back, but carries the Ensignbus branding on the side in gold.
The second bus in the set is RT1499, which has a registration number of KGK758 and is decorated in green and cream. This bus is also assigned to route X81 with destinations for with destinations for Greenhithe Station, Lakeside, South Ockendon, North Ockendon, Great Warley, Warley, Brentwood and Shenfield Station. This bus features adverts for the Ensignbus Company on the sides and Aspro on the back.
