New Arrivals | Roden

The Roden company, or correctly Tool-making plant “Roden” Ltd, based in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv, has been making injection moulded plastic kits since 2001. The origins of the company were founded in 1996 with the Toko company (Experimental Industrial Technologies Plant Jnt Stk) which ceased when Roden was formed.
Roden’s owner was a designer with the Antonov Design Bureau, the Ukrainian aircraft manufacturing company, with a personal passion for aircraft of the First World War. In the twenty-five years since Roden started, the range of plastic kits has expanded to some 270 models, comprising both well-known and interesting lesser-known subjects.
Aircraft and military & civilian vehicles are available in scales from 1:144 to 1:32. For many years Roden boxes were illustrated with original artworks by the talented artist Valeriy Grygorenko, adding a flamboyant, esoteric, quirky, and humorous touch to the products. With immense sadness Roden confirmed Valeriy was killed in a strike on Kyiv on the March 4th 2022. Yet despite this setback, and the continuing daily challenges presented to the workforce, Roden are still releasing new products, proudly designed, tooled, and manufactured in Ukraine.
The latest release received in 2026 sees three new – but very different – models. They’re in stock now.
