Introducing the Just Plug Sound System!
The new Just Plug Sound System from Woodland Scenics brings any project to life with an explosion of sound! The Just Plug Sound System gives dioramas, model railways, seasonal displays, school projects, tabletop games and museum displays a realistic, immersive sound experience.
This complete system is easy to install. Just like the Just Plug Lighting System, you simply “Just Plug” and you’re done!
Getting Started
At the heart of the system is the Sound Hub. You simply connect the Power Supply to the Sound Hub and then insert a Sound Card. You can run multiple Sound Hubs off of one Power Supply by connecting the Hubs to each other. The Sound Hub also has push buttons and volume controls for each, individual sound.
Select a Sound
We have a great range of background and active sounds, as well as the tools to create your own unique sounds. You then plug in the speakers and you are ready for your project to have sound!
One Sound Hub can control up to 4 individual sounds. To create a more realistic experience, you can start with subtle prerecorded ambient sounds like birds or water from a babbling brook. Then, you can create an active sound like sirens or church bells. There are endless ways to customize sound on your layout or project.
You can also upload your own custom sounds from a iPhone, Android or Computer onto Blank Sound Cards using the Card Reader. Those sounds could include music for a layout’s village festival, a speech to pair with a school project or whimsical noises for a Dungeons and Dragons tabletop campaign.

Select a Speaker
There are also three different types of Speakers. Depending on placement and the type of sound, Micro and Mini Speakers are available to easily disguise in a your layout or project with use of the Grill Cloth Kit. You can also use the Stereo Room Speakers to create a special sound effects like an aeroplane flying in the skies overhead.
The Stereo Room Speakers play our stereo recorded sounds with left to right panning. For example, you can also use the Stereo Room Speakers to create special sound effects like an airplane flying overhead. With the Room Speaker Mixer, you can experience this effect out of all four Hub channels through 1 set of Stereo Room Speakers.For even more immerse audio, from 1 hub channel use the Stereo Splitter and connect Micro or Mini Speakers in a surround sound style arrangement. Both the Mixer and Splitter can be daisy chained for expansion.
You can expand your sound activation by using one of our five triggers – Magnetic Track, Motion, Automatic, Push Button and Remote Control Trigger Kit. For example, after plugging in our Motion Trigger, a sound will play once it detects motion.
Modellers can use Motion Triggers to create surprise with unexpected sound, and Push Button Triggers are ideal for manually starting sounds from a distance away.
Modellers can decide when they want a sound to activate with three built-in options that play it automatically with the Automatic Trigger. This Trigger plays a sound on its own with repeat, random or timed modes.
There is also a Magnetic Track Trigger great for train crossings. The Magnetic Track Trigger activates sound with a passing magnet. Attach it to a train or use our Wand Tips for a great effect on a layout, diorama or school project.
The Remote Control Trigger Kit allows you to activate a couple or hundreds of sounds using a Remote Control. The Remote Control activates four individual sounds using the Remote Trigger. You can daisy chain Remote Triggers (up to 99) and control them all with a single Remote Control.
