Remembrance Day 2020 “Lest We Forget”
Even though commemorations will look a lot different this year, we would like to take the time to pay our respects to those who have paid the ultimate price for their country. At 11am on Remembrance Sunday, 8th November 2020, people from around the country are being encouraged to stand on their doorstep for a two minute silence. This will honour those who paid the ultimate sacrifice, while ensuring that everybody stays safe.
In our latest video we take a look at the D Day series of 1:72 scale model aircraft, exclusive to Bachmann Europe. The collection honours the RAF’s 8000 personnel who bravely fought on the shores and in the skies of Normandy.
June 6th 1944 marked the beginning of Operation Overlord and the Battle of Normandy, with a colossal airborne offensive providing air support for the naval invasion force. Black and white recognition stripes hastily painted on allied aircraft minimised the risk of ‘friendly fire’ incidents. Our highly detailed D-Day series models all feature this distinctive marking.
The collection includes five models. The models are fully assembled and painted with display stands included in the box .
