Bringing the Bulleids to Life

The development of the hotly anticipated all-new Bachmann Branchline OO scale Bulleid Coaches took a leap forward when we received the decorated samples for these stunning models at the start of the year.

First showcased in the Spring 2022 Bachmann Times magazine, the official magazine of the Bachmann Collectors Club, the new Branchline models depict four different Bulleid vehicles, each with a suite of detail variants in order to accurately depict different vehicles at various stages of their operating lives.

Common to every model is a wealth of detail including separately fitted components such as roof vents, lamp irons, toilet filler & overflow pipework and the portrayal of a complete vacuum pipe-run between the sockets at each end of the vehicles. The bogies incorporate electrical pickups, brake details and footsteps as appropriate whilst authentic interiors are also included along with full underframe gear.

Due to arrive this Autumn, the models are now nearing the end of their development journey so let’s take a look at each in detail:
