Last modified date

The Bachmann team are gearing up for not one but two outings this weekend – both of which are brand new events which we’re very excited to be attending.

Britain’s Biggest Model Railway – Bath & the West Country Showground

You may have heard about ‘Heaton Lodge’, the O scale layout which may well be Britain’s Biggest Model Railway, and this mega-layout is making its second public appearance from Friday 8th to Sunday 10th April in Somerset at The Showground, Shepton Mallet. Supported by some top quality layouts and a selection of traders too, a visit to The Showground this weekend is not to be missed by anyone in Bath & the West Country, or even further afield. The Bachmann Roadshow will be in attendance too, showcasing the latest British Railway Announcements, and for the younger audience, our Thomas & Friends ™ range including a working layout so you can see Thomas The Tank Engine and his friends in action. What’s more, a range of Bachmann Collectors Club Limited Edition models will be available to purchase on the day – if you’re not already a member head to the Bachmann stand to find out more and to sign up during your visit.

Date/Time:

Friday 8th April: 0930 – 1700
Saturday 9th April: 0930 – 1700
Sunday 10th April: 0930 – 1700

Statfold Model Railway Event

The Statfold Narrow Gauge Museum in Staffordshire hosts its inaugural model railway event this weekend and Bachmann will be in attendance. The Statfold Narrow Gauge Museum is home to the UK’s largest collection of working Narrow Gauge steam locomotives and these operate on the Statfold Barn Railway, where six steam locomotives will be in action this weekend, along with the museum’s Burton and Ashby No. 14 Tram, to transport visitors between the various exhibition sites.

The model railway event itself will see around thirty high quality layouts in various scales on display, including a selection of Narrow Gauge layouts. Alongside the layouts you will find some thirty traders offering a variety of items and services, including several Bachmann stockists from whom you can pick up our latest models. The Bachmann Roadshow will be showcasing some of the latest developments from the Bachmann Branchline, Graham Farish and of course, the Bachmann Narrow Gauge ranges, whilst the most recent Bachmann Collectors Club Limited Edition models will be available to purchase and new memberships can be taken out during the event.

Date/Time:

Saturday 9th April: 0930 – 1700
Sunday 10th April: 0930 – 1600

Location: Statfold Narrow Gauge Museum, Ashby Road, Tamworth, Staffordshire, B79 0BU
